You got the lighting and color palette just right. The strongest images that depict your emotions are the spoon on the near empty cup, the blue light coming from the closed door and the first and last shots of the lights. Some of the other frames could have benefitted from a change in the framing. Take flour and sugar, for instance, I think you're trying to say that the sugar is almost empty. It's hard to see that here because of the graphic on the jar. A similar frame to the spoon in cup would help and/or setting the misé-en-scéne so that the sugar is very important like setting a steaming cup of coffee on the counter. I'm not sure why the camera should evoke a melancholy feeling. Again, it is only the color that suggests it.
